At the county convention in Hillsborough on April 8, new 1st vice chair Victoria Freeman formally thanked Matt Hughes for his six years as chair. Others, from left: new Chair Jim Bartow of Northside precinct and state Rep. Graig Meyer.
During Matt's tenure (which began when the Hillsborough native was a new graduate of UNC-CH), he strengthened the local party's organization, finances and electoral results.
