Gov. Roy Cooper Seeks Cooperation on School Aid, Jobs, HB2 Repeal in First State of the State Address
In his first State of the State message, on March 13, 2017, Gov. Roy Cooper sought cooperation on education, health care, drug abuse, creating jobs, HB2 repeal, raising the age for juvenile court proceedings, and disaster recovery.
Several hundred people, including an estimated 200 newcomers, attended precinct meetings March 11 at East Chapel Hill High School. In the photo, those raising their hands are first-timers at precinct meetings.
The FightingForFamilies news conference on March 2 announced the Economic Security Act of 2017.
